Alphonso "Bootlum" Hagans

Funeral service for Mr. Alphonso "Bootlum" Hagans age 76 a resident of Avante at Wilson who died Friday, August 5 will be held Saturday at 1 pm at St. Rose Church of Christ Disciples of Christ 605 S. Douglas St, Wilson. Bishop Malcolm Johnson will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Loving memories are cherished by his son, Alan Sherrod of Wilson, NC; his daughters, Patricia Rogers of Mt. Vernon, NY and Kim Williams of Lexington, KY; a sister, Grace McDougal (Haywood) of Wilson, NC; one brother, Tommie Hagans, Jr. (Melverna) of Philadelphia, PA; two grandchildren, eleven nieces, twelve nephews, a host of other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held Friday from 5 pm to 7 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 207 Lillian Rd, Wilson and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
