Annie Mae Whitehead Ellis

Annie Mae Whitehead Ellis was born to the late Matthew Whitehead and Lizzie Ruffin Swinson on December 21, 1930 in Wilson, North Carolina. On June 5, 2013, God called her home to her eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her husband, General Ellis, Sr.; her daughter, Terry Lynn Ellis Whitted; her son, Genreal "Ray" Ellis; two sisters, Elizabeth "Sis" Lancaster and Ella Mae "Pip" Lucas and one grandson, David Antonio "Budd: Ellis. Annie was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Funeral service celebrating her life will be held Saturday at 1 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. A viewing will be held Friday from 3 pm to 8:30 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends there from 7 pm to 8 pm. They will receive friends at other times at 1501 Hadley St, Wilson and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
