Beatrice Melton Edwards

Beatrice Edwards age 82 a resident of Avante Nursing Home of Wilson, formerly of 2421 Bel Air Ave, Wilson, NC passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Wilson Medical Center. Funeral service will be held Monday at 1 pm at Union Grove Primitive Baptist Church 519 Singletary St, Wilson. Elder Ernest Ray Melton will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Beatrice is the daughter of the late Lafayette and Annie Brooks Melton. She was a member of Union Grove Primitive Baptist Church where she served faithfully until her health began to fail.
Her precious memory is cherished by her husband, Alexander Edwards of Wilson, NC; her son, Anthony Edwards (Sylvia) of Wilson, NC; two grandchildren, Candace V. Edwards of Fayetteville, NC and David Applewhite of Wilson, NC; four great greandchildren, her goddaughter, Barbara Gilchrist of St. Albans, NY; one sister-in-law, Willa Dean McCray (Robert) of Wilson, NC; a brother-in-law, Cecil Edwards of Wilson, NC; a host of special nieces, special nephews, other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held Sunday from 2 pm to 9:15 pm at Carrons Funeral Home with the family receiving friends there from 7 pm to 9 pm. They will receive friends at other times at 1401 Fairfax Ave, Wilson and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
