Funeral service for Mr. Billy Lee Thomas age 67 of Wilson who died Saturday at Pitt Memorial Hospital, Greenville, North Carolina will be held Friday at 1 pm at Simon Grove Holiness Church 4334 NC Hwy. 42 East, Wilson. Bishop Herbert Williams, Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Billy was the son of the late George and Bertha Thomas. After working with Export Tobacco Company for thirty years he retired and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He leaves to cherish loving memories, his daughter, Latisha Middleton (Linwood) of Wilson, NC; two sisters, Donald Kaye Melvin (James) and Pamela Taylor (Edgar) of Wilson; four brothers, George Thomas (Barbara),Terry Thomas (Jackie)and Danny Thomas (Delores) of Wilson, NC and Ratcliff Thomas (Rose) of Woodbridge, VA; three grandchildren, Steonta Washington, Linwood Middleton and Kaniyua Middleton of Wilson, NC; one aunt, Nora Darden of Newark, NJ; his godson, Byron Jenkins of Wilson, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held Thursday from 3 pm to 8:30 pm at Carrons Funeral Home with the family receiving friends there from 7 pm to 8 pm. They will receive friends at other times at 502 Burton St, Wilson.
