Bishop Percy Lee Darden

Bishop Percy Lee Darden age 76 of 3736 Weaver Rd, Wilson, NC passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2015at his residence. Bishop Darden was the son of Willie Darden and Victoria Vick Darden. He was the pastor and founder of Repha Church of God, Wilson.

A celebration of his life and legacy will be held Friday, January 9 at 12 noon at Tabernacle Temple of Jesus Christ 1601 Lane St, Wilson. Pastor Cassandra Darden will be eulogist, and Pastor Frank White, Sr will preside. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Bishop Darden is survived by his wife, Cleo Walker Darden; his daughters and sons, Renee Darden, Pastor Cassandra Darden (Lathan), Percel Darden, Sharon Bethea (Christopher), Beatrice Darden Melton, Raphael Darden, Carolyn Darden, Stephanie Glenn and Vivian Taylor (Jamil); two grandchildren whom he reared, Isiaette Darden and Roderick Darden; two sisters, Minnie Ruth Jones and Caroline Jenkins; one brother, Curtis L. Allen; eighteen other special grandchildren, five great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, The Repha Church of God Family, and friends.

A viewing will be held Thursday from 4 pm to 12 midnight at Repha Church of God. The family will receive friends there from 6 pm to 8 pm. They will receive friends at other times at the residence and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
