Bobby Ray Edwards

Bobby Ray Edwards age 66 of 4512 Varnell Rd, Wilson, North Carolina passed away on Monday, November 10, 2014 at his residence. Bobby Ray was the son of Robert Lee Edwards and Bettie Atkinson Edwards. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 1 pm at Contending for the Faith Church Ministries 1006 Academy Street, Wilson, North Carolina. Elder Douglas Atkinson will be the eulogist, and Elder David Sutton will preside. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Bobby Ray is survived by his wife, Lillie Neal Edwards; his daughters and sons, Angie Melton, Jeniece Grant-Simms; Cornell Petway, Cashonda Neal, Devin Porter, Kevin Edwards and Bobby Edwards; his sisters, Shirley Sanders (Bernard), Betty Coley, Jeanette Smith (Amos) and Lula Langston; his brothers, Robert Edwards, Dennis Edwards, Tony Edwards (Lydia), Walter Lee Bethea and Lester Hartsfield (Pam); twelve grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held Friday from 4 pm to 7 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the residence and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
