Funeral service for Bobby Gene Jenkins age 69 a resident of Tarboro Nursing Home, Tarboro formerly of Wilson who died Friday, Dec. 24 will be held Friday at 12 noon at Mt. Zion Progressive Primitive Baptist Church Black Creek Rd, Wilson. The Rev. Purcell Cooper will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Bobby was born in Wilson, NC to the late Robert Lee and Mae Bertha Parker Jenkins.
Bobby leaves to cherish precious memories his daughters, Melissa Brown (Rodney) of Elm City and Becky Parker (Danny) of Wilson; one stepson, James Batts of Wilson; two nieces whom he reared, Thelma Baker and Tyone Savage both of Wilson; one sister, Willie Mae Reid of Wilson; five grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, a host of other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held Thursday from 3 PM to 7 PM at Carrons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the residence of his daughter, Becky Parker 2303 Sutton Place, Apt. 202 Wilson and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
