Catherine Daniel Williams transitioned from earth to glory on Saturday, October 8, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. A beautiful flower in the patch of many, she devoted her life to God and her family.
Catherine was a faithful member of St. Delight Missionary Baptist Church, Walstonburg, NC since an early age. She loved to cook and fed many children, nieces and nephews. She was a prayer warrior, and God was her refuge on earth and is now her reward in heaven. Catherine was a friend to many and witness of the good news of Jesus Christ to everyone with whom she came in contact.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W.C. Williams; her mother and father, John Henry and Mary Jane Daniels; and sixteen siblings.

Williams (Angela) of Pensacola, FL and David L. Williams (Charlene) of Wilson, NC; one grandduaghter whom she reared, Starr Speight (Lamont) of Saratoga, NC; two grandsons whom she reared, Christopher Williams and Scott Williams of Wilson, NC; her sister-in-law, Ethel Daniels of Goldsboro, NC; two special neices, Annie Hicks and Ellen Horne of Wilson, NC; one special nephew, Marcellous Speight of Killeen, TX; thirty other special grandchildren, thirty-nine great grandchildren, many other special nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Homegoing service will be held Wednesday at 1 pm at L.N. Forbes Original Free Will Baptist Tabernacle 1800 Lane St Ext, Wilson. The Rev. Anthony Worrells will be the eulogist, and Elder Bernice Winstead will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Delight Cemetery, Walstonburg.
A viewing will be held Tuesday from 5 pm to 8 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the residence and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
