Funeral service for Charlene Williams King age 50 of 623 Benton St, Wilson who died Wednesday at Wilson Medical Center will be held Saturday at 12 noon at Feel Free Church Ministries 3543 US Hwy 301, Wilson. Rev. Anthony Cox will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Charlene attended Wilson County Public Schools where she graduated from Ralph L. Fike High School in 1979.
She is survived by her daughter, Alisha Pate (Percy) of Wilson; one son, Donald Ray Williams, Jr. of Lexington Park, MD; her mother, Etta Mae Tune of Wilson; three sisters, Soisetta Pender (Willie), Katrina Dawson and Brenda R. Allen all of Philadelphia, PA; three brothers, Lamont Tune of Decatur, GA, Randolph Williams (Cynthia) of Newark, NJ and David L. Williams of Wilson; nine stepsisters,Minister Laverne Cox (Harold), Bernice Harris, Rematha Myers, Cathy Atkinson,Felecia Williams and Penalda Lassiter all of Wilson, Gwen Best (Carlton) of Fayetteville, Sharon Lassiter and Doris A. Artis both of Newark, NJ; three stepbrothers, Marcellus Lassiter, Jr. (Shirley), Dwight Lassiter and Quentin Lassiter all of Wilson; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held Friday from 3 pm to 6 pm at Carrons Funeral Home 325 East Nash St, Wilson. The family will receive friends at all times at 2202 Cameron Rd, Wilson and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
