Funeral service for Charles Wesley Barnes age 60 of 1004 Aycock St, Wilson who died Thursday at his residence will be held Wednesday at 1 pm at L.N. Forbes Original Free Will Baptist Tabernacle 1800 Lane St Ext, Wilson. Bishop J.N.Perry, Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Among his survivors are his wife, Shirley P. Barnes of the home; two daughters,Stacy Penny Happer and Jaquan "Kim" Barnes both of Wilson; one son, Tracy Penny of Waldoff,MD; one son-in-law, Dwight Happer of Chesapeake, VA; two grandchildren, Dontra' Barnes and Dwight "DJ" Happer, Jr. both of Wilson; four sisters, Carol Hall, Peggy Tingle, Janet Pope (Robert) and Joan Rawlings (Bobby) all of Wilson; six brothers, Robert Barnes (Gloria), James Barnes, Al Langston (Mary), Donnie Barnes (Janice), Alton Langston (Vivian) and Tony Langston all of Wilson; his father and mother-in-law, Andrew and Pearl McCray of Wilson; four sisters-in-law,five aunts, one great aunt,and a host of other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held Tuesday from 4 pm to 7 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at all times at the residence and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
