Clifton Lucas

A celebration of life for Clifton Lucas age 88 of 204-B Church St, Elm City who died Thursday at Wilson Medical Center will be held Wednesday at 1 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. Elder Mitchell will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Clifton was born in Wilson, North Carolina to the late Luke and Maggie Lucas. He had a great passion for farming. In fact, farming was so dear to him that he dressed liked one every day of the week. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Phyllis Lucas of the home; his daughter, Betty Umstead of Battleboro, NC; his sons, Randolph Lucas (Linda) of Elm City, NC, James Lucas (Barbara) and Alvin Jackson (Valentine) of Newark, NJ; twenty-two grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, sixteen great great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held Tuesday from 5 pm to 7 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. The family will receive friendsat the residence and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
