Connie Barnes Myles

Mrs. Connie Barnes Myles, age 91, passed on Sunday, November 3, 2019. Born in Wilson County on August 4, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Mrs. Nannie P. Barnes. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Mr. James Myles, Sr. and her daughter, Mrs. Joan Barnes Rawlings.

Connie leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving sons, Mr. James Myles, Jr. and Mr. Frederick “Ricky” Myles, Sr. Her memory is also cherished by fifteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Precious and lasting memories are cherished by two grandchildren whom she raised, Ms. Tracie B. Lindsey and Ms. Connie Myles-Flowers; three grandchildren whom she assisted in raising, Dr. Tabatha Rawlings-McDowell, Mrs. Cathleen Rawlings-Moye and Mr. Joseph Bernard Rawlings; and one daughter-in-heart, Ms. Willie Mae Myles. She will be deeply cherished by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A celebration of Connie’s life will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Saint James Christian Church, 1739 Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway, Wilson, NC 27893. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

A viewing will be held Saturday, November 9, 2019 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Robert King, Sr. Memorial Chapel of Carrons Funeral Home, 726 S. Tarboro St., Wilson, NC 27893.  The family is receiving friends at 4435 Lake Wilson Rd., Wilson and will assemble there at 1 pm on Sunday in preparation for  the funeral procession.
