Corine Daniel Jones

Funeral service for Corine Daniel Jones of Brooklyn, NY formerly of Wilson who died Monday will be held Sunday at 1:30 pm at St. Rose Holiness Church 5252 St. Rose Church Rd Sims, NC. The Rev. Otis Finch will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Corine was the daughter of the late Jessie & Leora Daniel. She spent her formative years in Lucama, NC and received her education in the Wilson County Public school System. In 1948, she married Fred "Goosehead" Jones who preceded her in death.

Corine gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was a member of St. Rose Holiness Church where enjoyed the fellowhip and ministry.

Corine was a very out-going, friendly and outspoken woman. She loved her family dearly. She will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Precious memories are cherished by her sisters, Marie Wells of Brooklyn, NY, Rebecca Lane of Mesquite, TX and Florence Merritt of Owings Mills, MD; a special niece who was like her daughter, sharon Williams of Wilson, NC; two nephews who were like her sons, Jeffrey Wells (Jean) of Long Island, NY and Anthony Wells (Sheryl) of Brooklyn, NY; five special cousins, Sissy Banks of New York, NY, Gladys Anderson of Bronx, NY, Mary Benton and Alice May Daniel of Harlem, NY and Alice Gray Daniel of Kenly, NC; her caretakers, Rose Taylor, Yvonne Dorce and Jean Luthors; a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including her best friends, Lena, Geneva and Pat.

A viewing will be held Sunday from 12:30 pm to 1:15 pm at St. Rose Church.
