David "June" Finch, Jr.

David Finch age 84 of 8139 Brooks Rd, Kenly, NC passed on Tuesday. David was affectionately known to family and friends as "June". He was the son of David Finch and Leora Creech Finch.

A celebration of his life and legacy will be held Saturday at 12 noon at Flat Rock Church of Christ Disciples of Christ 6730 Flat Rock Rd, Sims, NC. Bishop Willie Thomas will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Precious memories are cherished by his daughters, Judy Hinnant with whom he resided, Dorothy Norville (Algernon), Brenda Carter (Jasper) and Kim Finch; his sons, Jerry Finch, Dwight Taylor (Tracey) and Fredrick Farmer; one sister, Rev. Maggie Jefferson (John); three special grandchildren, Schuprell Hinnant, Jada Moore and Bernice Hinnant; twelve other special grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held Friday from 1 pm to 5 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday from 7 pm to 8 pm at Flat Rock Church. They will receive friends at other times at the residence and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
