Doris Sauls Richardson

Funeral service for Doris Mathey Sauls Richardson who died Monday at the E. Carlton Powell Hospice Center in Lillington, North Carolina will be held Friday at 1:00 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. Rev. Jeffrey Simms will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Doris was born April 19, 1949 in Greene County, North Carolina to the late Freman and Edrena Sauls.

Left to remember her with love are her husband, Rudolph Richardson of the home; one son, Jerry Sauls (Sherry) of Newark, NJ; five stepdaughters, Ann Coles (Isaac)of Kenbridge, VA, Brenda Richardson of Raleigh, NC, Joyce Adams (Doug) of Fremont, NC, Linda Artis (Charles) of Selma, NC and Debbie Bunn (Jack) of Wilson, NC; two stepsons, Rudolph Richardson, Jr. (Cynthia) of Wilson, NC and Tony Richardson of Angier, NC; three sisters, Hilda Pope of Bronx, NY, Beulah Sauls and Janice Sauls both of Wilson, NC; three brothers, James Pope (Margaret) of Washington, DC, Kenneth Sauls and Andrew Sauls both of Winston-Salem, NC; one granddaughter, Brianna Sauls of Newark, NJ; three sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, twenty-three step grandchildren, fifteen step great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held Thursday from 6 pm to 8 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at all times at the residence, 910 East Vance St, Wilson and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
