Douglas Bynum age 46 of 113 Abingdon Dr, Apt. LC, Cary, North Carolina formerly of Wilson passed away on Tuesday at his residence. Service celebrating his life will be held Saturday at 2 pm at L.N. Forbes Original Free Will Baptist Tabernacle 1800 Lane St Ext, Wilson. Eulogist will be Rev. Charles Rainey and Dr. Leecie Edwards will preside.
Douglas was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Ruth Bynum. He was a faithful member of Cary First Christian Church of Cary, North Carolina where he served as a deacon and in various other capacities.
Loving memories of Douglas are cherished by his mother, Annie Bynum Jenkins of Fountain, NC; his stepmother who reared him, Judy Bynum of Macclesfield, NC; his Godmother, Glenda Blackmon of Wilson, NC; five sisters, Cynthia McKenzie (Donald), Angela Bynum, Crystal Bynum and Iris Patterson (Kirk) all of Wilson, NC, Veronica Dickerson (Troy) of Elm City, NC; five brothers, Jimmy Earl Bynum of Snow Hill, NC, Jimmy Lee Bynum (Terri) of Saratoga, NC, Henry Bynum of Stantonsburg, NC, Anthony Bynum and Shawn Bynum both of Wilson, NC; five aunts, Evelyn Bynum of Stantonsburg, NC, Ruby Johnson of Farmville, NC, Jennie M. Williams of Walstonburg, NC, Bessie Mae Bynum both of Fountain, NC and Beulah Mae Bynum of Wilson, NC; three uncles, Williie Bynum of Farmville, NC, James Collin and Jack Bynum both of Wilson, NC; three great aunts, Rosa Foreman of Snow Hill, NC, Lucille Ellis of Farmville, NC and Mary Louise Baker of Wilson, NC; the Cary First Christian Church Family of Cary, NC, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
A viewing will be held Friday from 3 pm to 7 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 pm to 2 pm at L.N. Forbes Tabernacle. They will receive friends at all other times at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Troy Dickerson 108 Cedar Ridge Trail, Elm City and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
