Ms. Emma Lee Hinnant, age 84, of Wilson, transitioned to her eternal rest on Monday, June 19, 2017.
A Celebration of her life service will be held 1 pm Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Atkins Memorial Tabernacle, 6740 Rock Ridge Sims Road, Sims, North Carolina. Bishop Henry Cox will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
A public viewing will be held Friday, June 23, 2017 from 3 pm to 7 pm in the Chapel of Carrons Funeral Home.
She leaves to cherish her loving and lasting memories to her son, James Oliver Hinnant of Bailey, NC; her daughter-in-law, Peggy Hinnant of Lucama, NC; two sisters, Doretha Johnson (James) of Forestville, MD and Rachel Freeman of Wilson, NC; five grandsons, Nebraska Hinnant (Jenny) of Conetoe, NC, Lamont Thigpen (Khrishshonda) of Charlotte, NC, Deon Hinnant (Tuwanna) of Cary, NC, Travis Hinnant (Evyyan) of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Maurice Jones of Wilson, NC; ten great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Naomi Kent of Nashville, NC and a host of other relatives and friends.
