Eva Mae Baines Thompson

Mrs. Eva Mae Baines Thompson age 64 of 5206 Kennedy Rd, Wilson died Sunday at Pitt Memorial Hospital, Greenville. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 2:30 pm at L.N. Forbes Original Free Will Baptis;t Tabernacle 1800 Lane St Ext, Wilson. The Rev. Jeffrey Simms will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson was a faithful member of First Baptist Church, Lucama where she served diligently as a mother under the leadership of Rev. Odell Forte and Rev. Jeffrey Simms. She enjoyed working as a floral designer at Good Samaritan Florist.
Left to remember Mother Thompson with love are her husband, Ira Thompson, Jr. of the home; one daughter, Sharon Denise Thompson of Wilson; her son, Anthony Lee Thompson (Veronica) of Wilson; her father, James V. Baines, Sr. of Sims; three sisters, Gloria Jean B. Edmundson of Wilson, Evang. Joann B. Jones and Carolyn b. Barnes (Jesse) of Sims; one grandaughter, Jasmine Essence Thompson of Durham, NC; one grandson, J'Veston Antonio Thompson of Wilson; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held Wednesday from 4 pm to 7 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the residence of her son, Anthony Thompson 1317 Queen Anne Rd, Wilson and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funearl procession.
