On Friday, April 13, 2012 Ezzie Dell Banks was called home to her eternal rest. Ezzie was a resident of Avante' Nursing Home of Wilson formerly of 2511 Marybeth Ct, Apt A Wilson, North Carolina.
Ezzie was born in Wilson, North Carolina on June 19, 1933 to the late James and Ellen Drake Harris.
Left to remember Ezzie with love are her granddaughters, Robin Brown, Stacy Harris and Linda Melton; her grandsons, Freddy Harris and William Harris, Jr.; a great granddaughter whom she reared, Brianna Melton; nine other special great grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren, three nieces, Lavetta Faye Harris, Savannah Harris and Beverly Mitchell who was also her caregiver; two nephews, Steve Harris, Roberson Harris and Louis "June" Harris, a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held Saturday at 1 pm at Carrons Funeral Home 325 East nash St, Wilson, NC. The Rev. Jacquetta Harrison will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
A viewing will be held Friday from 2 pm to 6 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 2511 Marybeth Ct, Apt A, Wilson and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
