On Monday, May 10, 2010 God in His infinite power called Gearldine Bynum Edmundson home to eternal rest. She was affectionately known to family and friends as "Dean". Born on April 30, 1939 in Wilson County, NC to James and Gladys Anderson Bynum, "Dean" was member of Oakey Grove Primitive Baptist Church, Wilson, NC.
Precious memories of her are cherished by three daughters, Brenda Battle, Regina Vines (Ray) and Vicky Edmondson (Kendrick) all of Wilson; two sons, Larry Bynum and James Arthur Edmundson (Demita) both of Wilson; four sisters, Odessa Harris (Jesse), Shirley Edwards and Mary James (Willie) all of Wilson and Aldora Brown of Georgetown, SC; twelve grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one special aunt, several nieces, nephews, and a host other relatives and friends, including a special friend, Bennie Newton of Wilson.
Funeral service will be held Friday at 2 pm at L.N. Forbes OFWB Tabernalce 1800 Lane St Ext, Wilson. Elder Arthur Bridgers will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
A viewing will be held Thursday from 3 pm to 8:30 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends there from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm. They will receive friends at all other times at 5728 Hwy 264 East, Wilson and will asssemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
