Grace Whitehead Artis

Ms. Grace Whitehead Artis, age 104, transitioned from labor to reward on Thursday, June 3, 2021.  A celebration of her life and work will be Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 11 am at St. John AME Zion Church 119 Pender St., Wilson.  Rev. Dr. Lamont Foster will be the eulogist, and Dr. Michael Bell will preside.  Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

A public viewing will be Friday from 3 pm to 6 pm at Carrons Funeral Home 726 South Tarboro St., Wilson.  The family is receiving friends at 2028 Fieldcrest Rd., Wilson and will assemble there at 10 am in preparation for the funeral procession.  Condolences may be directed to www.carronsfuneralhome.com or faxed to 252.237.0120.  They may also be sent via email to carronsfuneralhome@gmail.com.  Please keep the Artis family in your prayers.
