Service celebrating the life and legacy of Grace G. McDougal age 75 of 1816 Farrior Ave, Wilson who died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011 at Pitt Memorial Hospital, Greenville, North Carolina will be held Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011 at 1 pm at Contending for the Faith Church Ministries 1006 Academy St, Wilson. Elder Damieon Royal will be the eulogist, and Minister Stephanie Lamb will preside. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Grace was born in Wilson, North Carolina to the late Tommie and Rosa Bynum Hagans. Reared in Wilson County, Grace received her education in the public schools where she graduated from Charles H. Darden High School in 1957. She was a faithful and dedicated employee of Tobacco Processors for many years.
Loving memories are cherished by her husband, Haywood L. McDougal of the home; her daughter, Denise McDougal of Capital Heights, MD; her sons, Anthony Ray McDougal (Angela) of Columbia, SC and Roderick L. McDougal of Raleigh, NC; one brother, Tommie Hagans (Melverna)of Philadelphia, PA; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren,a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held Friday from 3 pm to 7 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. The family is receiving friends at the residence and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
