Herbert L. Strickland

Mr. Herbert L. Strickland age 71 a resident of Avante' Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of Wilson formerly of Wade, NC was called to his eternal rest on Sunday, September 6, 2015. A service of triumph will be held Saturday at 2 pm at Carrons Funeral Home 325 East Nash St, Wilson, NC. The Rev. Roderick Tillery, Sr. will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Loving and lasting memories are cherished by his wife, Thelma Batts Strickland of Wilson, NC; one aunt, Sally "Katie" Carpenter of Bronx, NY; three dear sisters-in-law, Ruth Strickland of Elm City, NC, Annie Herrington and Emma Gray Bullock (Tony Ray) both of Wilson, NC; a special sister-in-law, Rev. Rita Batts of Wilson, NC; three brothers-in-law, Elton Batts, Carlton Batts (Lorna) and Stephen Batts all of Wilson, NC; thirteen nieces, nine nephews, a host of other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held Friday from 4 pm to 8 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 636 East Walnut Street, Wilson at other times and will assemble there at 1 pm on Saturday in preparation for the funeral procession.
