Hilda Pope was born in Greene County, North Carolina on December 6, 1940. On Saturday, June 18, 2011 God in His infinite wisdom and unfailing power called her home to eternal rest.
Hilda was a faithful member of Great Refuge Temple. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. Elder Judy Yelverton will officiate. Interment will follow in Turner Swamp Cemetery, Eureka.
Left to remember her with love and joy are two daughters, Renee Eddy of New York, NY and Dotty Pope of Wilson; a host of grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held Saturday from 3 pm to 6 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 1845 Butterfield Ln, Wilson and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
