Hollie Chestnut, Jr.

Hollie Chestnut, Jr. age 76 of 7053 Great Swamp Loop, Lucama passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Wilson Medical Center.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday at 1 pm at St. Paul Church of Christ 4139 Frank Price Church Rd, Black Creek, NC. The Rev. Julius Hunter will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Hollie was born in Wilson County, North Carolina to Holly and Henrietta Hinnant Chestnut, Sr.
A faithful member of Patterson Chapel Church, he served as a deacon for many years.
Deacon Chestnut leaves to remember him with love and thankfulness, his wife, Bettie Ellis Chestnut of the home; his sons, Hollie Eugene Chestnut (Pamela) of Middlesex, NC, Reginad L. Chestnut (Sheila) of Wilson, NC and Michael A. Chestnut of the home; his stepmother, Martha Lee Chestnut of Wilson, NC; one sister, three brothers, seven grandchildren, one great grandson, two god children, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held Friday from 4 pm to 9:15 pm at Patterson Chapel Church with the family receiving friends there from 7 pm to 9 pm. They will receive friends at other times at the residence and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
