Funeral service for James Edgar "Tater Bud" Barnes age 74 of 200 N. Railroad St, Elm City who died Monday at Wilson Medical Center will be held Saturday at 1 pm at Browns Chapel Free Will Baptist Church 1507 Hadley St, Wilson. Rev. James Barnes will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Among "Tater Bud" survivors is his wife, Lucy Mae Woodard Barnes of the home.
A viewing will be held Friday from 3 pm to 8:30 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends there from 7 pm to 8 pm. They will receive friends at all other times at the residence and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
