John Henry "Man" Hill, Jr.

John Henry Hill, Jr., age 58, of 1007 Wilson St., Wilson was called to eternal rest on Thursday, December 7, 2017.  John, affectionately known as "Man" by family and friends, was the son of the late John Henry Hill, Sr. and Mandy Lee Johnson Hill.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, Dec. 16 at 1 pm at Carrons Funeral Home 325 East Nash St., Wilson. The Rev. George Ward will be the eulogist, and Pastor Annie Pearl Melvin will preside.  Interment will follow in Hamilton Burial Garden. 

Precious memories are cherished by his daughter, Octavia Hill of Waterbury, CT; his sons, Desmond Terrell Williams (Tenisha) and John Henry Hill, IV both of Wilson, NC ; seven sisters, Gretchen Ann Hill Horne (Alonzo) and Marie Best both of Stantonsburg, NC, Cynthia Lucas of Farmville, NC, Patricia Ann Hill, Michelle Best, Vanessa Boykin (Bennie) all of Wilson and Fannie Mae Reid of Stockbridge, GA; five brothers, Marcus Ray Hill, Sr. (Gay) of Elm City, NC, Dwight A. Hill, Sr. (Paigeant) of Wiesbaden, Germany, Henry Lee Hill, Sr. (Jackie), Little Wade Best both of Wilson and Ray Charles Hill of Burgaw, NC; several grandchildren, two aunts, four uncles, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held Friday from 3 pm to 7 pm at Carrons Funeral Home.  The family is receiving friends at 1804-A Fountain Dr., Wilson and will assemble there at 12 noon on Saturday in preparation for the funeral procession.  Condolences may be directed to www.carronsfuneralhome.com or emailed to carronsfuneralhome@gmail.com.
