Funeral service for Judie Autry Johnson Herring age 57 of 1600 Downing St, Wilson who died Tuesday at Nash General Hospital, Rocky Mt. will be held Saturday at 11 am at St. John AME Zion Church 119 N. Pender St, Wilson. Rev. Carla Atkins will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Judie leaves to cherished loving memories her husband, Charles James Herring of the home; one son, Michael Jovan Herring (Jennifer) of Wilson; one sister, Evangelist Betty Johnson Exum of Newark, NJ; four brothers, Daniel Johnson (Gilda) of Newark, NJ, Lee Roy Johnson (Marie) and Jonah Johnson (Renee) both of Durham, NC and Marvin Johnosn of Hampton, VA; her grandchildren, Michelle Dominique Herring and Micala Jovan Herring both of Wilson; one two aunts, Ressie Kent of Wilson and Marilyn Kent of Goldsboro; one uncle, Harvey Kent of Florida; one sister-in-law, Carstella Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including Rev. Linda Artis Speight and Laverne Harding.
A viewing will be held Friday from 2 pm to 5:30 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday from 7 pm to 8 pm at Trinity AME Zion Church 1624 Martin Luther King, Jr. Pkwy, Wilson. They will receive friends at all other times at the residence and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
