Larry Darnell "Granddaddy" Applewhite

Larry Darnell Applewhite age 46 of 605 Cemetery St, Wilson passed away on March 24, 2013. Funeral service will be held Satruday at 1 pm at Barnes Chapel Missionary Baptist Church 1004 Railroad St, Wilson, North Carolina. The Rev. Robert Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Loving memories are cherished by his wife, Brenda Pearce Applewhite of Winston-Salem, NC; his daughters, Travara Monchell of Washington, DC, Shameka Ruffin and Cornetha Applewhite of Wilson, NC; a son; four sisters, Joyce "Mustard" Allen, Mary Barnes, Kimberly Grogins and Lekeish Applewhite all of Wilson, NC; six brothers four of whom he was reared with by his sister, Mustard Jesse Pickett, James Applewhite, Crawford Pickett (Angela), Tyrone Sutton (Natasha) and Quinton Sutton (Denise) of Wilson, NC and Waddell Sutton (Nicole)of Goldsboro, NC; five aunts, Carolyn Inman of Jacksonville, NC, Fannie Applewhite, Delores Pickett, Lois May Applewhite and Dorothy Mae Lewis all of Wilson, NC; seven uncles, Jimmy Bailey, William Pickett, Robert Applewhite, Douglas Applewhite, June Bug Applewhite and Chester Applewhite all of Wilson, NC and Sauls White of Myrtle Beach, SC; twelve grandchildren, his companion, Sarah Purkett of Wilson, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including his special friends, Melissa, Daryl, Andrea, Clarence whom he called "Dusty", Cowboy, Joseph, Loretta and Marie.

A viewing will be held Friday from 3 pm to 6 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 605 Cemetery St, Wilson and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
