Lenwood "Butch" Grant

Lenwood George "Butch" Grant was born to Lenwood and Doris Grant, Sr. in Washington, DC. He spent his formative years in Washington, DC. After receiving his education in the public school system there, he enlisted in the United States Marines.
In 1982, Butch made Wilson, North Carolina his home. On Wednesday, June 15, 2011, God called him home to eternal rest. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
His memory is cherished by his wife, Georgia Mix Grant of Wilson, NC; three children, Derrell, Lynn and Jamila: his mother, Doris Grant; one sister, Janel; eleven grandchildren, two nephews, two great nephews, a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will assemble at the funeral home at 6:30 pm in preparation for the service.
