Linda Reid Williams

Ms. Linda Reid Williams, age 69, of 1903 Gee Lane, Wilson passed away on Tuesday, June 26.  Linda was the daughter of Horace Reid and Martha Hines Reid.

A celebration of her life and work will be held Sunday, July 8 at 1:30 pm at Wilson Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, 513 East Barnes Street, Wilson.  The Rev. Dr. Margaret Britt will deliver the eulogy, and Bishop Robert Gorham will preside.  Interment will follow in Hamilton Burial Garden.  

Loving and lasting memories are cherished by her son, Jerry L. Williams, Jr. (Sherrell) of Wilson, NC; her daughter, Courtney D. Curry (Christopher) of Wilson, NC; three sisters, Louise Hines of Philadelphia, PA, Lois Walker of San Antonio, TX and Lenora Coley (Russell) of Wilson, NC; three brothers, James L. Williams of Philadelphia, PA, Richard Reid (Yvonne) of Orangeburg, SC and Wade Winstead (Hilda) of Elm City, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held Saturday from 5 pm to 7 pm at Carrons Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends there from 6 pm to 7 pm. They will receive friends at other times at the residence and will assemble there at 12:30 pm on Sunday in preparation for the funeral procession.
