Louise Diggs Simms

Ms. Louise Diggs Simms, age 82, of 6127 Blalock Road, Lucama, North Carolina transitioned into her eternal rest on Friday, November 10, 2017.  She was the daughter of the late Rommie and Bessie Reid Diggs.

A celebration of her life and legacy will be held 12 noon Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Contending for the Faith Church Ministries, 1006 Academy Street, East, Wilson, North Carolina.  Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Wilson. 

Left to remember her with love and thankfulness are, her daughter, Chakela Medose Simms Butler (Rickey) of Matawan, NJ; her sons, Dexter Lugenus Simms (Patti) of Black Creek, NC, Darvis Reginald Simms of Raleigh, NC and Pastor Jeffrey Antonio Simms (Laura) of Chapel Hill, NC; her sister, Arbor Fox of Ayden, NC; five grandchildren, Brittany Lenise Simms of Atlanta, GA, Gregory Lance Simms of Goldsboro, NC, Rikeya Noele Butler of Matawan, NJ, Jeffrey Micah Simms and Nicolaus Gerald Simms of Chapel Hill, NC; a host of other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm Friday, November 17, 2017 at Carrons Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm Friday, November 17, 2017 with the family receiving friends for an inspirational wake service from 7 pm to 8 pm at First Missionary Baptist Church of Lucama, 6161 Lucama Road, Lucama, North Carolina.  The family will receive friends at other times at the residence and will assemble there at 11 am in preparation for the funeral procession.
