Lucy Gray Battle

Funeral service for Lucy Gray Battle age 75 of Brooklyn, NY formerly of Pinetops who died Thursday, Nov. 18 will be held Saturday at 12 noon at Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Association Church Bynum Farm Rd., Pinetops.
Bishop Willie Mercer will officiate. Interment will follow in Carver Cemetery, Pinetops.
Lucy Gray is survived by her mother, Effie Battle of Brooklyn, NY; three sisters, Mary and Effie Ree of Brooklyn, NY and Ernestine Johnson (Harvell) of Tuscaloosa, AL;one brother, James Arden of Hackensack, NJ; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Although Lucy Gray did not have any biological children, she was a mother to many.
The family will assemble at 906 W. Vance St, Wilson one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
