Luther Bryant, Jr.

Luther Bryant, Jr. age 49 of 5517 Scuppernong Rd, Wilson passed away Saturday at Wilson Medical Center. Service celebrating his life will be held Friday at 2 pm at L.N. Forbes Original Free Will Baptist Tabernacle 1800 Lane St Ext, Wilson. Pastor Prince Lewis will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery Veterans Section.

Luther was born in Wilson, North Carolina to the late Luther Bryant, Sr. and Lillian Yelverton Bryant. He served our country faithfully for eight years in the United States Air Force.

Left to remember him with love and joy are his wife, Melissa Denise Taylor Bryant of the home; three sisters, Linda Bryant Rountree (Carey) and Brenda Faye Bryant both of Raleigh, NC and Linda Faye Bryant of Wilson, NC; three aunts, Annie Hicks of Goldsboro, NC, Geraldine Yelverton King and Beatrice Viola Gaddie both of Wilson, NC; four uncles, Doc Bryant of Goldsboro, NC, Raphael Yelverton (Ada) of Philadelphia, PA, Clarence Yelverton (Pearlie) and Gene Autry Yelverton both of Durham, NCone niece, Lillian Sedalia Bryant of Wilson, NC; two nephews, Renard Chaddius "Chad" Bryant of Wilson, NC and Garrison Paul Rountree of Raleigh, NC; his mother-in-law, Lizzie Mae Taylor of Wilson, NC; six sisters-in-law, Brenda Edwards of Saratoga, NC, Mary Solomon (Alvin), Sandra Cox (Darrin), Dodglyn Taylor and Deone Taylor all of Wilson, NC and Terrie Moye (Jeff) of Clayton, NC; two brothers-in-law, Ulysses Taylor (Michelle) of Anderson, AL and Willie Taylor of Wilson, NC; a host of other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held Thursday from 3 pm to 7 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at all times at the residence and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
