Mary Catherine Powell Thompson

Ms. Mary Catherine "Cat" Powell Thompson, age 86, of Wilson was called from labor to reward on Tuesday, March 31, 2020. A private funeral service for family will be held Saturday.

Loving and lasting memories will always be cherished by her four daughters, Joyce Powel McLaurin (Robert), Linda Powell Wiley (Roderick), Wanda B. Taylor, and Jeanine B. Wiley (Howard) all of Wilson, NC; one son, Elder Douglas E. Barnes (Belinda) of Zebulon, NC; one granddaughter whom she reared, Tammy P. Ruffin; twenty-two grandchildren, thirty-seven great grandchildren, thirteen great-great grandchildren, one great-great-great grandchild; one son-in-law, William Hunter; a host of cousins, relatives, and friends, including Mr. David Diggs of Wilson, NC.
