Funeral service for Ms. Mattie Winstead Dawson age 83, a resident of Wilson Assisted Living who died Sunday at Wilson Medical Center will be held Saturday at 1 PM at St. John AME Zion Church 119 North Pender St, Wilson. Dr. Michael Bell will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
A viewing will be held Friday from 5 PM to 7 PM at Carrons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at all times at 1404 Atlantic Street, Wilson and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
