Melvin Ray "Godfather" Everette

Funeral service for Melvin Ray Everette age 81 of 3208 Marshall Ave, Apt 6 Newport News, VA formerly of Wilson who passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Wilson Medical Center will be held Monday at 1 pm at Barnes Chapel Missionary Baptist Church 1004 Railroad St, Wilson. Bishop Thurman McCuller will be the eulogist, and Rev. Brandon Lucas will preside. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Melvin was born in Wilson, NC to the late Arthur and Mary Ford Everette, Sr. He was affectionately known as Godfather to family and friends.
A viewing will be held Sunday from 6 pm to 8:30 pm at Carrons Funeral Home with the family receiving friends there from 7 pm to 8 pm. They will receive friends at other times at 600 Anson St, Wilson and will assemble there one hour prior toi service in preparation for the funeral procession.
