Overseer Martha Ann Council

Overseer Martha Ann Council, age 92, of 306 North Travis Street, Stantonsburg, North Carolina transitioned from labor to reward on Monday, September 7, 2020. A celebration of her life and legacy will be Sunday, September 13, 2020 at 12 noon at the Robert King, Sr. Memorial Chapel of Carrons Funeral Home, 726 South Tarboro Street, Wilson.  Interment will follow in Hamilton Burial Garden.

Loving and lasting memories are cherished by her children, Elder Patricia Williams of Goldsboro, NC, Pastor Mary Council-Austin of Fond du Lac, WI, Pastor Edward Council of Sutherland, VA, Roger Council (Sandra) of Richmond, VA , Evangelist Wilma Cox (Dennis) of Wendell, NC, Evangelist Sandra Smith of Stantonsburg, NC and Elder Naomi Oates of Goldsboro, NC; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Essie of Raeford, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A public viewing will be Saturday from 2 pm to 6 pm at Carrons Funeral Home.  There will be an inspirational wake from 6 pm to 7:30 pm at the Robert King, Sr. Memorial Chapel of Carrons Funeral Home.  The family is receiving friends at the residence and will assemble there at 11 am on Sunday in preparation for the funeral procession.
