Rickie Boykin

February 8, 1957 — May 17, 2012

On Thursday, May 17, 2012 God in His infinite wisdom and unfailing power called Rickie Boykin home to eternal rest. Rickie was born in Wilson, North Carolina to the late Lonnie and Argie Williams Boykin.

Rickie spent his formative years in Wilson where he attended the Wilson County Public Schools. Upon graduating, Rickie enlisted in the United States Navy. He served our country faithfully.

Believing ain a Supreme Being, Rickie joined church under the leadership of Pastor Leonard Smith. He will dearly be missed by all who knew him.

Precious memories will forever linger in the hearts of his wife, Debra Anderson Boykin of the home; his daughter, Montie Arnette Boykin of the home; one sister, Joan Boykin of Wilson, NC; two brothers, Calvin Joseph Boykin (Janice) of Greensboro, NC and Gregory Boykin (Pamela) of Wilson, NC; his granddaughter, Brianna Arnette boykin of the home; a special niece whom he reared, Maresa Anderson of Wilson, NC; his mother-in-law, Grace Harper of Wilson, NC; a host of aunts, uncles, other special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 am at St. John AME Zion Church 119 North Pender St, Wilson, North Carolina. Pastor Leonard Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery Veterans Section.

A viewing will be held Wednesday from 2 pm to 7 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at all times at the residence and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
