Royce Frederick Jones age 70 of 5464 Fillmore Rd, Sims, North Carolina passed away on Friday, October 24, 2014. Homegoing service will be held Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 12 noon at Flat Rock Church of Christ 6730 Flat Rock Rd, Sims, NC. Elder Donald Loftin will be the eulogist, and Evangelist Doris Maddux will preside. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery Veterans Section.
Royce was the son of the late Roy and Mattie D. Jones. A member of the Class of 1962 of Springfield High School, he served our country faithfully for two years in the United States Army.
Loving memories are cherished by his wife, Brenda S. Jones of the home; his children, Tomika Jones of Kenly, NC, Tonya J. Richardson and Titania Jones of Lucama, NC and Jennifer Mays of Sims, NC; five sisters, Mattie Coleman, Agnes Jones and Hedy J. McCray all of Wilson, NC, June J. Sessoms (Randolph) and Nyoka J. Hinnant (James) of Kenly, NC; two brothers, Curtis Jones (Shelia) of Akworth, GA and Lorenzo Jones (Lakisha) of Wilson, NC; eleven grandchildren, one aunt, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held Friday from 2 pm to 5 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday, October 31, 2014 at Flat Rock Church from 7 pm to 8 pm. They will receive friends at other times at the residence and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
