Ruby Dunston Jones

Ruby Dunston Jones, 99, of 8165 Bailey Road, transitioned to heaven on Sunday, March 6, 2016, while at Wilson Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She is survived by five daughters, Mattie Jones, Cora Jones Hocutt, Alprator Jones Briggs, Ruby Jones Deans and Wanda Jo Jones; six sons, Leonard Harry Jones, Dossie “OJ” Jones, Dwight Rubin Jones, Moses Lee Jones, Dewel Rudolph “D.R.” Jones and Derwood Bernard “Josh” Jones; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A celebration of her life and legacy will be held 1 p.m. Friday at New Vester Missionary Baptist Church, 8304 Byrd Road, Sims. A viewing will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Carrons Funeral Home, 325 E. Nash St., Wilson.
The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, prior to the service. They will receive friends at other times at the residence and will assemble there at 11 a.m. Friday in preparation for the funeral procession.
