Ruby Lee Burns Speights

Ruby Lee Burns Speights was born May 1, 1931 in Johnston County, NC to the late Suby Burns and Beatrice Bryant Burns.  On Saturday, Jan. 6, Ruby was called to eternal rest.  A service celebrating her life will be held 1 pm Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Evening Lights Holiness Church 208 South Pender St., Wilson.  Dr. Sarah Eason will officiate.  Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Wilson.

Left to remember Ruby with love and thankfulness are her daughters, Beatrice Pearce, Brenda Hampton (Joe) both of Smithfield, Theresia Mendoza (Faustino), Linda Watson (Calvin), Carol Allen (Don) all of Selma, NC and Gloria Humphrey (Anthony) of Virginia; her sons, Rufus Motto and Dennis Martin (Bessie) of Selma, NC; one sister, Ruth Wells of Kenly, NC; twenty-two grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A viewing will be held Friday, January 12, 2018 from 2 pm to 6 pm at Carrons Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends at 203 College Street, Apt, 16, Kenly and will assemble there at 12 noon on Saturday in preparation for the funeral procession.
