Selby Lee Meeks, age 69, of 4204 Larkspur Road, Wilson transitioned from labor to reward on Wednesday, September 6, 2017.
A celebration of his life and work will be held 2 pm Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Perry's Temple Original Free Will Baptist Church, 5000 Tartt's Mill Rd, Wilson. Bishop J.N. Perry, Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Wilson.
Loving memories are cherished by his daughters, Noel Farmer of Greenville, NC, Tabitha Williams, Fantasia Williams and Sandra Stewart all of Wilson, NC; his sons, Jonathan Hall (Theresa), Joseph Taylor (Andrea) both of Wilson, NC and Selby Lee Hall, Jr. (Kimberly) of Creedmoor, NC; three sisters, Helen Strickland, Shirley Dew both of New Jersey and Linda Piatt (Joseph) of Wilson, NC; two brothers, Sid Lucas, Jr. (Barbara) and Dennis Deans (Laverne) both of Wilson, NC; a brother-in-law and long time friend, Bobby Barnes (Lisa) of Wilson, NC; a special friend whom he held dear to his heart, Patricia Ann Coley of Wilson, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held Saturday from 12 noon to 4 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the residence and will assemble there at 1 pm on Sunday in preparation for the funeral procession.
