Shannik Palmer age 40 of 829 Lafayette Ave, Apt 4E Brooklyn, NY passed away Saturday, May 19 2012. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 pm at Carrons Funeral Home 325 East Nash St, Wilson. The Rev. Steven Kent will officiate. Interment will follow in Hamilton Burial Garden.
Shannik was born in Brooklyn, New York where she aattended the Brooklyn County Public Schools.
She worked for many years at the New York Amtrak Train System. Shannik had a great passion for traveling, and she held a special place in her heart for each of her nieces and nephews.
Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Rose Artis of Pittsburgh, PA; her father, Wendell Palmer of South Carolina; her sisters, Jeanette "Lani" Palmer of Pittsburgh, PA and Shernik Palmer, her twin of Brooklyn, NY; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held Friday from 4 pm to 8 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. The family will assemble at Carrons Funeral Home one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
