Stacey Denise Dunston Barnes

Mrs. Stacey Denise Dunston Barnes, age 48, of 2323 Sandy Ridge Drive, Wilson transitioned from labor to reward on Thursday, March 5, 2020. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 1 pm at L.N. Forbes Original Free Will Baptist Tabernacle, 1800 Lane Street, Wilson.  Bishop Curtis Artis will deliver the eulogy, and Minister Stephanie Lamb will preside.  Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her husband, Shalaah Barnes of Wilson, NC; her son, Johnnie Batts of the home; her daughter, Chrishana Jones of the home; her mother, Joyce Dunston of Sims, NC;   one sister, Shenika Dunston of Sims, NC; three brothers, Michael Dunston (Valerie) of Lucama, NC; Terrell Dunston of Simms, NC, and Burnice Hinnant of Knightdale, NC.; her grandmother, Agnes Everette of Wilson, NC; one grandson, Zy’mhere Taybron of the home; several aunts and uncles;  nieces, Brittany Dunston, Whitney Dunston, Brooklynn Dunston, Kierra Dunston, Melodi Beckwith, Symthoni Beckwith, Rhythm Beckwith and Breanna Dunston; nephews, Anthony Dunston, Burnice Hinnant, Jr., Jah’Rell Parrish, Jashawn Dunston, Daelynn Dunston, Antwan Bland and Anthony Eatmon; a host of cousins, and friends who loved and adored her life, a very special friend, Everette Atkinson and her best friends, Clifton Willingham and Teresa May.

An inspirational wake will be held Friday, March 13, 2020 from 6 pm to 7 pm at the Robert King, Sr. Memorial Chapel of Carrons Funeral Home, 726 South Tarboro Street, Wilson.  The family is receiving friends at the residence and will assemble there at 12 noon on Saturday in preparation for the funeral procession.  Please remember the Barnes family in prayer during this most difficult time.  Condolences may be directed to carronsfuneralhome.com or faxed to 252.237.0120.  They may also be directed to carronsfuneralhome@gmail.com.
