Tammie Lisa Barnes Romain Hedgepeth age 39 of 14266 NC Highway 43, Rocky Mt, North Carolina was born to Unisteen Webb Barnes Hammonds and Vernon Lee "Eddie" Barnes on May 10, 1973 in Wilson, North Carolina. She departed her earthly life on Wednesday, March 13, 2013.
Tammie was educated in the Wilson County Public School System. Later in life, she became the owner of various businesses. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Vernon Jeffrey Barnes.
Loving memories are cherished by her husband, Andre Dale Hedgepeth of the home; her sons, Kevin Felix Romain, Vernon Jeffrey Romain and Andre Dale Hedgepeth, Jr. of the home; two sisters, Beverly Felicia Barnes and Karen Ann Barnes (Antwan) of Wilson, NC; nine aunts, Oneida Jenkins (Louis), Gloria Pender (Arrchie), Dorothy Barnes (James), Shelia Etheridge all of Wilson, NC, Barbara Jean Smith of Norfolk, VA, Bernice McCall, Mary Coleman (Troy Lee), Ollie Mae Barnes and Ann Mae Ellis all of Wilson, NC; one great aunt, Roas Ann Ruffin of Richland, NC; her uncles, Jimmie Lee Webb (Paulette) of Wilson, NC, Levi Webb of Rocky Mt, NC and Willie Webb of North Carolina; two nephews, one sister-in-law, two brothers-in-law; a host of other relatives and friends, including two special friends, Felicia "Butt" Finch and "Candy Lady".
Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 pm at L,N. Forbes Original Free Will Baptist Tabernacle 1800 Lane St Ext, Wilson, North Carolina. General Vice Bishop Malcolm Johnson will officiate, and Elder Kenneth Braswell will preside. Private interment will be held later.
The family will receive friends at Treasurer Island Beach Bingo 1501 Lipscomb Rd, Wilson, North Carolina and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
