Thelma Lee Hart Taylor

June 18, 1924 — July 6, 2012

Thelma Lee hart Taylor was born to the late Jobe Cooper and Geneva Hart Eatmon in Nash County, North Carolina. Her earthly journey ended on Friday, July 6, 2012 at Wilson Medical Center.

Her formative years were spent in Nash County where she attended the Nash County Public Schools. She later became employed with Standard Commercial Company and worked there for over thirty years. Thelma was a loving mohter, grandmother, sister, aunt and dear friend. She had a great passion for planting marigolds and doing crossword puzzles.

Her belief in a Supreme Being led her to join St. Paul Church of Christ where she remained a faithful member for fifty years. Later under the leadership of Elder Terry Joyner, she joined Greater Love Baptist Church.

Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, William Norman Taylor; three daughters, Peggy Ann Taylor, Ernestine Taylor and Beloved Taylor; and one son, William "Pig" Taylor. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Left to remember Thelma with love are her son, James Taylor (Lois) of the home; a sister, Artistine Lucas of Wilson, NC; three brothers, Henry Eatmon (Velma), Arthur Eatmon (Phyllis) and Curtis Eatmon (Lucy);her grandchildren, Antonio Taylor (Akita), Victor Taylor, Kimberly Taylor (Crsin), Michael Taylor and Ernest Melvin all of Wilson, NC; a great grandson whom she reared, Kentrail Taylor; other special great grandchildren, Jah'Lee, A'Jahyah, Camron, Christian, Jah'Ras, Victoria and Ayanna Taylor;two sisters-in-law, Linda Eatmon and Addie Eatmon of Wilson, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A celebration of her life will be held Sunday at 2:30 pm at L.N. Forbes Original Free Will Baptist Tabernacle 1800 Lane St Ext, Wilson. Elder Terry Joyner will officiate. Interment will follow in Williams Chapel Church Cemetery.

A viewing will be held Saturday from 3 pm to 7 pm at Carrons Funeral Home with the family receiving friends there from 6 pm to 7 pm. They will receive friends at other times at 5455 Lamm Rd, Wilson and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
