On January 21, 1936, Theodore Roosevelt Pope was born to the late Frank and Sally Ellis Pope in Greene County, North Carolina. God called Theodore home to his eternal rest on Monday May 20, 2013.
Loving memories are cherished by his wife, Vinnie Edwards Pope of the home; his son, Elvis Pope (Lauren) of Wilson, NC; a very special stepdaughter who was his caretaker, Dr. Eugena Ellis of Wilson, NC; a very special stepson who was also his caretaker, Isaac Ward, Jr. of Wilson, NC; a special niece whom he helped to rear, Doretha Mitchell (Mitch) of Alexandria, VA; several other stepchildren, two grandchildren, a host of step grandchildren, two brothers-in-law, Bishop Earl Edwards (Ernestine) of Maryland and William Edwards of Wilson, NC; a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held Friday at 2 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. Bishop Donnie Daniels will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Delight Cemetery, Walstonburg, NC. A viewing will be held Thursday from 4 pm to 7 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at 609 Hawthorne Ln W, Wilson and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
