Funeral service for Thurman Rufus Jones age 65 of 450 East 38th St Brooklyn, NY who died April 14 will be held Saturday at 1 pm at Brown Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, Wilson. Elder Donald Lofton will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Delois Barnes Jones of the home; one son, Zachary Jones of Wilson; two daughters, Melissa Hall (Vincent) of Charlotte, NC and Paula Harvey (Roger) of Brooklyn, NY; six sisters, three brothers, nine grandchildren, one great grandchild, a host of other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held Friday from 3 pm to 7 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at all times at the residence of his sister, Deacon Joyce Parks 706 E. green St, Wilson. They will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
