On Friday, September 2, 2011 God in His infinite wisdom and unfailing power called Tommie Lee Langston home to eternal rest. Tommie was born June 10, 1945 in Wilson, North Carolina to Gertrude Langston Bullock and the late Carless Bullock.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1 pm at L.N. Forbes Original Free Will Baptist Tabernacle 1800 Lane St Ext, Wilson. The Rev. Charles Howard will officiate. Interment will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery.
Left to remember Tommie with love are his daughters, Debbie Bullock (Ron) of Accokee, MD and Thomasina Langston of Washington, DC; his mother, Gertrude Langston Bullock of the home; his sisters, Mable Norville (William) of New York, NY, Josetta Davis (William),Brenda Earp, Catherine Best and Connie Francis Butts all of Wilson, NC and Helene Best of Washington, DC; his brothers, Milton Bullock (Frances) of Washington, DC, Carl Vincent Bullock (Velma) of Stantonsburg, NC, Richard Cardel Best and Ray Best (Wanda) both of Wilson, NC, Jerome Best (C.C.) of Capitol Heights, MD, Joseph Edwards of Los Angeles, CA and Stanley Best of Lawrenceville, VA; five grandchildren, one great grandchild, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including a special friend, Deloris Pender.
A viewing will be held Tuesday from 6 pm to 7 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the residence 101 E. Vance St, Wilson and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
